In mechanical mixing, mechanical seal is a precision component, and the requirements for manufacturing accuracy and installation accuracy of the equipment are very strict. In the process of mixing operation, some faults sometimes occur, which often affect the operation of mixing equipment.

There are two failure phenomena of mechanical seal: excessive leakage of mechanical seal and excessive temperature of mechanical seal. Let's specifically analyze the causes and solutions of the fault. Causes and solutions of excessive leakage of mechanical seal:

1. The locking degree of the inner shaft sleeve of the mechanical seal is not enough. Countermeasures: tighten the locking ring bolt at the upper end of the mechanical seal;

2. The dynamic and static O-rings of the machine seal are damaged. Countermeasures: replace the seal ring;

3. There are solid particles in the circulating cooling water and the sealing surface is seriously worn. Countermeasures: replace the cooling water, flush the inner cavity of the machine seal, and replace the dynamic and static rings;

4. The axial runout of the mixing shaft is too large and the mechanical seal is worn. Countermeasures: correct or replace the mixing shaft;

5. The pressure in the sealing chamber is lower than the pressure in the kettle, and the flushing water flows out. Countermeasures: adjust the water flushing system, which should generally be 0.05-0.1mp higher than the pressure in the kettle.
